In the late 50s Hank Marvin played a Guyatone LG 50 made in Japan for Vox. Many companies produced similar guitars. The Burns drifter is a modern take on that guitar. It was produced around the end of November 2010 and is now discontinued. The specs shown in the Burns brochure of that time are.

Basswood body
Figured maple top
Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard
24 & three quarters scale
2 x Tri-Sonic style pickups
1 x Master volume
1 x Master tone
3 way pickup selector switch
